At the start of this year, six students from our L&C and Rainbow Room classes were given the opportunity to go surfing with a Jersey charity called Healing waves. The charity works specifically with individuals who have a range of disabilities to access water sport on the sea in a safe way.
For most of our students it was the first time they had put on a wetsuit and surfed. All of the students enjoyed being in the water riding the waves and it was not long before they were communicating with the team of instructors to take them back and surf again.
