This year, pupils at Le Rondin took part in an hour long sponsored read to raise money for the refurbishment of our library.
Parents, carers and volunteers came in to read stories with the children. The stories ranged from individual reading books, class reads and even sensory stories so everyone could get involved.
One class enjoyed a physical re-enactment of We're Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen. They trudged through mud, grass and a "river" (or just a very big puddle!!)
To date, we have raised over £2300 for our library through our sponsored read event. The children have decided that they would like the money they raise to go towards a 'reading tree' in the library.
